Exhaust Tip Fitment Guide for North American Trucks & Muscle Cars (F-150, Silverado, RAM, Mustang, Challenger, Tacoma)

North American trucks and muscle cars are the biggest exhaust-tip market in the world — and the easiest category to quote wrong. This guide lists typical stock pipe outer diameters (OD) for the most-requested applications so distributors, workshops and resellers can spec the right inlet size the first time.

Typical stock pipe OD by application

  • Ford F-150 (2009–2026): 2.5"–3.0" (63–76mm); Raptor and heavy-duty trims usually 3.0"
  • Chevrolet Silverado 1500: 2.5"–3.0" (63–76mm)
  • RAM 1500: 2.5"–3.0" (63–76mm)
  • Toyota Tacoma: 2.25"–2.5" (57–63mm)
  • Ford Mustang GT: 2.5"–3.0" (63–76mm)
  • Chevrolet Camaro SS: 2.5"–3.0" (63–76mm)
  • Dodge Challenger R/T: 2.5"–3.0" (63–76mm)
  • Jeep Wrangler JK/JL: 2.5" (63mm)

These are typical factory values. Always confirm with a caliper or tape measurement before ordering — see our measurement guide. If a customer is between sizes, an adapter/reducer pipe solves it.

What sells in North America

  • Stainless steel, double-wall, slant or rolled edge in 4"–4.5" (101–114mm) outlets for trucks — the classic bolt-on look upgrade. Browse stainless steel exhaust tips.
  • Carbon fiber and M-Performance styles for Mustangs and modern muscle — see carbon fiber exhaust tips.
  • Dual and triple outlet designs for aggressive rear-end styling on Challenger/Camaro builds.

Wholesale notes

ER Performance manufactures the full RXE range factory-direct with universal inlets from 51–80mm (2.0"–3.15"), covering every application above. Universal tips are quoted per carton (typically 20–30 pieces); custom logo and packaging supported. See the wholesale & OEM/ODM program or browse all exhaust tips.
