201 vs 304 Stainless Steel
Both are austenitic stainless steels, but they are not interchangeable. The difference is nickel content, and it drives both corrosion resistance and price.
201 Stainless Steel
- Lower nickel, higher manganese — a more economical grade.
- Good strength and a bright finish, but lower corrosion resistance in salty or wet conditions.
- Best for: budget product lines and regions with mild climates.
304 Stainless Steel
- Higher nickel (8–10.5%), the standard for exhaust and food-grade applications.
- Excellent rust and corrosion resistance, holds up to road salt and exhaust heat.
- Best for: daily-driven vehicles and markets that demand a longer service life.
Our universal exhaust tips are available in both 201 and 304 grades; vehicle-specific and OEM orders default to 304 unless you specify otherwise.
Carbon Fiber Exhaust Tips
Carbon fiber is a visual and weight upgrade rather than a structural one — the carbon sleeve sits over a stainless inner tube that handles the heat and clamping load.
Glossy vs Matte Carbon Fiber
- Glossy (3K weave): a deep, high-shine finish that shows the weave pattern clearly. The most popular finish for a motorsport look.
- Matte carbon: a subtler, non-reflective finish that hides fingerprints and suits stealth or OEM-plus builds.
Forged Carbon Fiber
Forged carbon has a marbled, non-uniform pattern instead of a woven one. It is lighter per volume and gives a more aggressive, one-of-a-kind appearance. We offer forged carbon in silver, black, burnt blue, and gold foil variants.
Surface Finishes
- Polished: mirror-bright stainless, the classic look.
- Black chrome / matte black: a darker, understated finish.
- Burnt blue: a heat-treated gradient popular in JDM and modified-car markets.
- Brushed / matte silver: resists scratches and fingerprints.
How to Choose for Your Market
